In the scorching heat, families like that of our sister, Maryam Ramadan, carry heavy water containers for miles each day. Imagine the exhaustion, only to find that the water is not even safe to drink. We witnessed this struggle firsthand – the hardship, the thirst, the urgent need. Together, we can change this by bringing clean, safe drinking water to villages across Tanzania, East Africa, and beyond.
In Arusha, Tanzania, a new borehole at the Imam Ali (as) Girls Secondary School now brings clean water to over 6,500 people – students, teachers, nearby villagers, and even a local hospital five kilometres away. For the first time, children can study without worrying about water.
Brother Rashid Haider met with the school kids and villagers and visited the construction site to oversee the progress.
