Project Manager

Overview:

Seeking a proactive leader to manage humanitarian projects, drive collaborations, and ensure compliance. Requires strong project coordination, communication, and commitment to positive change.

Main tasks of job:

  • Ensure the comprehensive management of the project, overseeing its progress, milestones, and deliverables. Coordinate and engage regularly with TMF staff, potential partners, and global stakeholders to foster effective collaboration.
  • Establish and nurture networks and relationships with partner organizations, donors, and relevant stakeholders to promote the successful implementation of the project.
  • Provide regular and ongoing support to TMF members and other organizations/entities involved in the pilot contexts, offering guidance and assistance when required.
  • Bring thought leadership to the team, encouraging critical thinking and facilitating broad engagement in discussions surrounding project management in the humanitarian context.
  • Drive and contribute to the implementation of relevant aspects of the project as needed. This includes developing and building networks and relationships, providing regular updates, supporting TMF on relevant programs, and organizing, facilitating, and documenting regular meetings.
  • Prepare agendas, invitations, background documents, and minutes for relevant meetings, reports, and data for the website, partners, donors, and stakeholders. Ensure that lessons learned and challenges are identified and documented for each thematic area, sharing this information between national and global levels.
  • Coordinate inputs from the TMF and all implementing partners and stakeholders to prepare necessary documents for timely project reporting.
  • Represent the TMF in relevant forums, including engagements with stakeholders and partners, as needed.
  • Participate actively in regular TMF team meetings, processes, planning events, and team-building activities, contributing to a positive team environment.
  • Actively promote and contribute to a harmonious TMF team relationship, fostering a cooperative and supportive work environment.
  • Engage in other relevant TMF activities, contributing your expertise and skills to support the organization’s overall mission. 

 

Requirements/Experience:

  • Implementing the compliance procedure as required by the Charities Commission of England for the Charity to meet all its legal obligations.
  • Demonstrated project management experience, showcasing successful coordination and delivery of projects with tangible results.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, enabling clear and concise interactions with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong networking and relationship-building abilities to establish effective collaborations with partner organizations, donors, and stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to work independently and as a committed team player, managing multiple tasks and priorities efficiently.
  • A passion for humanitarian initiatives and a commitment to driving positive change in the communities we serve.
  • A good understanding of the Shia Ithna Ashari Muslim faith.

 

Desirable

  • Fluency in a second language relevant to the organisation’s operations (Arabic, Gujarati, Hindi, Swahili and Urdu)
